[listen] The Cyclist, “Daisy Spirals”

The producer unarchives another raw techno brain massage.

- Jul 26, 2013

It's easy to zone out when listening to The Cyclist's longer tracks, like “Daisy Spirals.” When the producer stretches out his hissing techno sounds above the three minute mark, they become unarchived massages for a blank brain, its light and breezy chords leadened and distorted by the semblance of molding tape. The musical locus points are similar enough that your eyes might glaze over, but are rich enough to make every analogous loop and layer feel like a new discovery, if your attention span holds. The track is featured on Show Me The Future Vol. 2, a Friends of Friends compilation of August 2nd.
