Chaz Bundick refuses to stop changing.

Chaz Bundick doesn't want to make things easy, because they aren't. There's a good chance that “So Many Details,” his first single from his upcoming Toro Y Moi album Anything In Return (out January 22nd on Carpark Records), will divide his fans. It's not quite a return to the treacly funk of Underneath The Pine or the bedroom intimacy of Causers of This, though there are elements of both in the track. It's an exhausted, effortless evolution that pulls back the blinds on a troubled relationship, where feelings are abundant and answers are few. Confident, tortured, and grateful, classifying “So Many Details” as hip-hop is like saying a sunset is kind of reddish. But it's hip-hop as only Bundick can make it - personal, funky, and always, always changing.

“So Many Details” will be available on 7" for Record Store Day on November 23rd, with Toro Y Moi remixing his own song for a B-side, featuring Hodgy Beats.
