With NYC 73-78, Beck remixes Phillip Glass

A remarkably audacious tribute to the genius composer.

- Oct 2, 2012

In case you weren't sure of just how much great music Phillip Glass has composed, Beck's massive NYC 73-78 remix project should remind you. The 21 minute Glass pantheon combines excerpts from many of his different compositions, along with with contributions from Tyondai Braxton (ex-Battles), Dan Deacon, Memory Tapes, and many more. It feels more like a seamless, unbroken curation than a simple remix, and an incredibly gorgeous one at that. Check it out below, and buy it October 23rd on Kora Records.
