Grizzly Bear fans, it’s our day: The band have shared details from their forthcoming album, as well as a enormous tour and a great new song. It’s going to be the summer of the Bear, and not the kind that screw up camping trips with murder. Hopefully not, anyway.

“Sleeping Ute” is a gorgeous, invigorating reintroduction. The song dips and swerves us around complicit—a piece of string dancing just above our outstretched paws. Just when you think you know where the song’s jazzy classic rock is going, there’s a spurt of swelling orchestration and waves of electronics, and soon you’re totally engaged by the track’s excitement and sheer bravado. It’s a fresh and relieving disorientation, like sleeping in a field for months and waking up to the sun break the horizon. Is it rising or setting? Whatever the answer, you know that only good things can come from this new development.

Grizzly Bear's new, as-of-yet untitled new album is out August 18th via Warp. Listen to “Sleeping Ute” below, followed by the album's tracklist and dates for the band's expansive world tour.
