PUP invent a bloody pre-teen origin story in “Guilt Trip”

Turns out PUP are blood brothers, in more ways than one.

PUP's music has always sought to evoke that awkward moment of rebellion represented by Parental Advisory stickers (or Too Hot For Much specials), so it makes sense the Toronto pop-punk band's new video refocuses their origin story away from (probably) marathon Big Shiny Tunes listening sessions, towards badass pre-teen blood brothers whose badassery turns dark. The Chandler Levack & Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux directed clip for "Guilt Trip" doesn't pull Dan Burke this time around, but it's nearly as gory, especially when CBC personality Grant Lawrence enters as a hard-drinking, ill-fated cop.

PUP's debut album is out now. Read their "Essential Albums Parents Just Don't Understand" here.
