Because there's only so many times you can get stoned and watch Planet Earth, sometimes fictionalized versions of nature's horrifying beauties can do the trick just as well. Björk stars in her Andrew Thomas Huang-directed “Mutual Core” clip, both as herself in a blue wig waist-deep in sand (no surprises there), and as one of the colourful floating rock creatures that are constantly frenching each other and exploding into goopy monolithic volcanoes (that's more like it). It's the kind of hot summer beach party you'd expect from the Icelandic chanteuse: almost devoid of human life, full of brain-boggling creations, yet somehow there's still copulating going on.

Biophelia is out now on Nonesuch.
