If you’re looking for the future of glam pop, look no further than Diamond Rings. John O’Regan aka Diamond Rings is the heir to the pop throne, laying his claim firmly with his latest music video for “I’m Just Me,” a pop title that evokes Madonna or Lady Gaga, but is expressly his own.

His as yet-untitled record is co-produced by none other than Damian Taylor (Björk, Robyn) and you can already tell the influence. Gleaming and crisply produced, O’Regan dressed in an angular eighties suit with diamond sunglasses dwells in a stage of light and television screens. It screams “Pop Prince,” as the song’s simple message of growing into who you are is blasted through dance beats while male dancers in black dance sensually. So, celebrate yourself!
