Working with the likes Xiu Xiu, Amanda Palmer, and Parenthetical Girls among many others, Jherek Bischoff is a multi-talented man with even more multiples of friends. His album Composed is out next month, and it is a large collaborative bonanza between him and a wealth of other artists (including David Byrne).

The Zac Pennington (of Parenthetical Girls) and Soko lead track “Young & Lovely” now has a video, which is eerily reminiscent of the last Harlequin Romance novel I read, where people travel through time fighting vampires and a man gives birth to a baby (this may have also been the film Junior). Zac Pennington’s theatrical cooing and Soko’s soft voice in the chorus is wrapped in the song’s orchestral pop leanings, making the video’s loose retelling of the myth of Aurora all the more bizarre and fanciful.

Composed is out June 5 via Brassland.
