The potentiality for beach/real state/summer/water/sand/weed related metaphors in this post are so up the wazoo that if used could cause some sort of rift that would destroy any subsequent news article in the future. So, I will have to try and refrain from oppressing you with said metaphors and just give you the facts.
Beach House and Best Coast have records coming out May 15 and they are both available to stream right now over at NPR. Beach House’s latest Bloom is that album you’ve been waiting for since you learned what dream pop was, which for me was just yesterday. The Jon Brion-produced The Only Place is Best Coast’s follow-up and is another half hour of pop bliss. Telling you about these albums is redundant, because ya’ll are smart and know everything already.
You can stream Beach House here and Best Coast here, which are both perfect music to listen to while not hanging out on the beach with your boyfriend, dipping your toes into the sand as the sun gets in your eyes and the two of you smoke a joint, drifting off into a dreamy paradise of love. I repeat, it is not for this occasion, so don't even it.
