Will Evanescence's New Album Ever Come Out?

How about a resounding cry of "Who cares anymore?"?

The Pulse Of Radio has announced Evanescence's new album, which was originally supposed to be released in late summer or early fall, has now been pushed back indefinitely.

"We've taken some time out of the studio to get our heads into the right creative space, work on the songs and even write some more music," vocalist Amy Lee posted online, according to Blabbermouth. "We'll be back in the studio recording the album soon enough. I think that it can only be stronger for this extra time we're putting into it."

Lee also speculated that Wind-Up Records, Evanescence's label, is having some financial troubles, and the band "wants to make sure the whole machine is working together when it's time to put out the album."

So, if a band have had four years in which to record a new album — Evanescence's last album was 2006's The Open Door — why is it all these problems pop up right when they hit the studio? Is this just rock star code for, "I have no idea what I'm doing anymore because I stopped being relevant seven years ago"? Or did Lee lose her rotating string of faceless bandmates again and doesn't know where they went?

Either way, we at CHARTattack have a solution to this problem: Get We Are The Fallen, which is made up of three quarters of the original Evanescence, call them Evanescence 2.0 or something similar and then pretend Lee never existed and the world will be happier for it.

Besides, with We Are The Fallen possessing the one actually talented Evanescence member in Ben Moody, we're sure they won't have any trouble putting out whiny goth-rock albums... at least until their 15 minutes of fame is up.
