King Khan & BBQ Show Break Up... Again

The King Khan & BBQ Show
You know what they say: live weird, die weird. And so, the ongoing saga of The King Khan & BBQ Show has come to an end... or has it?

There are reports that after the big blowout in Sydney, Australia last week, the duo had either put their differences aside or at least had decided to honor their remaining tour dates.

Either way, they arrived in South Korea Thursday (June 17) morning for three dates in the cities of Daegu, Busan and Seoul.

Unfortunately, things quickly went off the rails, with the promoter of those shows taking to his website to announce what seems to be the final nail in the KK & BBQ coffin.

"Due to last-minute collisions and circumstances in Daegu, including: a wrecked-up apartment, injuries sustained from slipping in beer and a 3-hour talk with a monk, King Khan will NOT be appearing with the band, and 'The King Khan and BBQ Show" is officially finished!," the band wrote in a press release.

Sounds like it must have been some dust-up. It really is too bad; King Khan and BBQ (a.k.a. Arish Khan and Mark Sultan) have been in and out of bands together since forming the Spaceshits in Montreal in 1995.

But there is hope they might maintain the friendship, even if the band are done. The promoter promises BBQ will play the remaining dates as a solo act, with a nice discount on ticket prices (only 15000 Won, down from 18000. Basically $12 Canadian instead of $15, which is not a bad deal).

Giving us reason 1,847,878,347 why you have to love crazy Asian music fans, the promoter promises a Khan appearance, writing "King Khan will likely be around Saturday night to rage/watch the show & give autographs! Wild men on drugs being what they are, it's not impossible that the duo will take the stage together!"

Yet again, we await developments. Your move, boys.
