Chad Kroeger Fires Housekeeper For Allegedly Wearing Girlfriend's Clothes

Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has made headlines yet again, this time for firing his housekeeper of two years, Arlene Morris. No, this isn't as bad as him being convicted of DUI, allegedly assaulting hecklers or losing popularity contests to a brine-soaked vegetable. But it still kind of reeks because the firing took place a few days before Nickelback's June 3 concert in Vancouver.

Morris claims Kroeger has promised her tickets to the show for her five sons, but reneged after canning her.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Morris' 11-year-old son was so heartbroken he wrote a letter to the Vancouver Sun. It contains the kind of righteous indignation and genuine sadness that only prepubescents can muster.

"[Eight] months were waiting and the day is just about here when my mom gets a call. Oh wow how hard that was, she tells us the tickets were cancelled guys im sorry and not only that he fires her too," he wrote.

"Well mr CHAD KRUGER WE dont think your cool and we took your stupid picture off our rockstar wall cause you dont deserve to sit up there with john lennon, mick jagger or bob dylan."

Amen, kid.

Nickelback manager Jonathan Simkin told the Vancouver Province Morris was fired for taking Kroeger's girlfriend's discarded clothes, which Morris denies. Simkin also said Morris was not directly employed by Kroeger, but had been hired by another employee. Ostensibly, that same employee would also be the one who decided to fire her.
