City And Colour, Tegan And Sara Go Stadium Size

Boys and girls who like girls, boys or both will be pleased to know they can scream to their hearts content on Aug. 28.

No, that's not when Toronto Pride happens. It's when City And Colour and Tegan And Sara will play a show at Toronto's Molson Canadian Amphitheatre. Wintersleep and Ra Ra Riot will also be along for support.

That's right; indie rock is now stadium size.

We're sure there will be tons of screaming for the bearded, tattooed troubadour and tons of laughter at the banter from the twins. And screaming, also.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday at 10 a.m. EDT, but they're available in a Ticketmaster pre-sale which begins Tuesday (April 27). They'll run you $36.75 to $63.75.

Green's playing in support of City And Colour's 2008 Bring Me Your Love album, while Tegan And Sara are out behind 2009's Sainthood. Wintersleep's new album, New Inheritors, is out May 17, while Ra Ra Riot are working on a follow-up to 2008's The Rhumb Line, which should be out this year.

Update: The City And Colour official mailing list just sent out a blast that said there will be an option to buy a special limited edition seven-inch vinyl split T&S/C&C single with either a "vinyl bundle" or "VIP bundle" ticket purchase. This will only be available at this show.
