Jack White Recorded With Jay-Z, New Dead Weather Album Called Sea Of Cowards

Jack White
Jack White likes to record with everyone on the planet (though these days he's particularly fond of producing records by old country and blues artists). So it was kind of only a matter of time before he and Jay-Z hooked up.

White told GQ magazine he and Hova recently recorded a tune, though it's not known when or if it will be released.

"I just did a record with Jay-Z," he told the magazine. "We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I've been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with the words for it. It's unbelievable-sounding."

Of course, White seemingly never takes a break. Earlier this year, he said he was considering releasing a solo album, but that means he'd have to find time to work on it between producing rockabilly legend Wanda Jackson's new album and cutting The Dead Weather's sophomore disc.

As for that album, it's called Sea Of Cowards. The Dead Weather recently updated their website with a graphic saying it was "coming soon." It doesn't have a definite release date, though if you Google the title, the interwebs seem to be saying the record's likely out in May.

The Dead Weather's Horehound debut album came out last year. The White Stripes just released a box set of their 2007 Canadian tour, Under Great White Northern Lights.
