DMX May Be Going Back To Jail... Unless Dr. Drew Successfully Intervenes

DMX might as well have landed on the "Go To Jail" spot because he sure doesn't get to pass Go and he's definitely not collecting $200 from this one. That said, maybe Dr. Drew can get him out of jail — but it won't be for free.
The rapper whose real name is Earl Simmons has been sentenced to six months prison time for violating his probation after admitting to using illegal drugs for the last few months.
But according to TMZ, Dr. Drew Pinsky of Celebrity Rehab fame could stop X from doing any time in the slammer.
The website reports a representative from the Pasadena Recovery Center, which Pinsky runs, gave the judge a letter signed by the doctor. It reportedly requests permission for Pinsky to treat DMX at his facility so the rapper doesn't have to go back to jail.
No decision's been made about this yet.
DMX was arrested last Tuesday (March 9) after telling his probation officer he'd been using illegal drugs for the last nine months and wasn't complying with his treatment plan.
DMX was under 18-months probation after pleading guilty to attempted aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a jail guard when he was serving a 90-day sentence for identity theft, drug possession and animal cruelty last year.
