Kings Of Leon Announce Massive Summer Tour

Kings Of Leon
Kings Of Leon have announced a gigantor summer tour that will take place throughout July, August and September.

The Followills are still touring the hell out of 2008's Only By The Night, which has now become Australia's best-selling album, going nine times platinum. It's sold over a million copies in the United States and is three times platinum in Canada with 300,000 copies sold.

The album has also now acquired a total of four Grammy Awards, having picked up three more (Kings Of Leon won for best rock performance in 2009) this past February.

The tour kicks off July 10, just after the quartet perform at Bonnaroo and in London, England's Hyde Park in late June. It runs until Sept. 23, with a brief break so the Followills can play the V Festivals in England at the end of August.

Tickets for most markets go on sale through Live Nation on March 20.

In the meantime, Kings Of Leon have started working on Only By The Night's follow-up, which drummer Nathan Followill recently told Spin.com is "all over the place."

"There's stuff that sounds like Radiohead," he said. "There's stuff that sounds like Thin Lizzy. There's stuff that sounds like The Band.

"We're pretty much to the point now where... [we can] try stuff we would've been scared to death to try on the first couple of records."
