OMG! Twilight's Robert Pattinson Wants Album Out In 2011

Robert Pattinson
Be still, my beating heart! It's taking all I can do not to leap out of my seat and shriek at hearing Twilight star Robert Pattinson wants to put a record out next year! Will the album art sparkle?!

Pattinson, who can be seen starting this Friday with Emilie De Ravin (Public Enemies, High Noon) and ex-Bond Pierce Brosnan in Remember Me, told Britain's The Sun tabloid that he's determined to put an album out in 2011.

"I want to do one at the end of the year," he said. "All my friends are recording albums and I'm very annoyed about it."

For a guy who doesn't seem to enjoy the spotlight, he seems a bit overeager for attention here, no?

Of course, this won't be the first time he's recorded anything. His "Never Think" — which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley — appears on the Twilight soundtrack.

"I don't know how people can act and also sing," he told The Sun. "I'll find some time to do it."

He also won't be the first Twilight star to get into the music business. Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale) is in a band called 100 Monkeys, with whom he released three albums last year. Yes, three.

Bradley has found success of his own with "Too Far Gone," which is a version of "Never Think."

In the meantime, the trailer for Eclipse was just released, and you know what that means: Shirtless Taylor Lautner!

100 Monkeys are on tour and you can see them here:

March 14 Toronto, ON @ Tattoo Rock Parlour
April 24 Dallas, TX @ Trees (Spencer Bell Legacy Concert)
May 1 East Rutherford, NJ @ Meadowlands Sports Complex (Bamboozle)
