Killers Frontman, Rob Thomas, Tricky, Ben Harper On New INXS Album

J.D. Fortune, while you were at the Vancouver Winter Olympics, INXS replaced you with The Killers' Brandon Flowers, Tricky, Ben Harper and Rob Thomas.
Those vocalists are among the singers who will appear on INXS' first album since 2005's Switch. It's said to contain new versions of their hits with various people playing the part of the late Michael Hutchence.
According to Rollingstone.com, Thomas sings on "Original Sin" and "Never Tear Us Apart," while Flowers sings on "Beautiful Girl" and Harper appears on "The Devil Inside."
It's not known what the album will be called, nor when it will be out, but the website reports the band are aiming for a fall release.
To our knowledge, Fortune is not one of the singers on this record.
In case you're wondering, INXS do plan to record another original studio album at some point in the future, but drummer Jon Farriss told Rollingstone.com the band are looking at this album as a "transitional step."
That's presumably because they have to find a replacement for Fortune before they think about recording new material, of course. Unless he's actually back in the band for good.
Fortune claimed he was booted out of INXS last year after he said he was left in Hong Kong, China with only a handshake and ended up living in his truck. INXS denied the allegations, and Fortune later changed his story and said he hadn't been kicked out.
Fortune made a "special guest appearance" during INXS' show as part of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics on Wednesday (Feb. 24)
