Alexisonfire Prep iPhone Application While Encountering Australian Crap

Alexisonfire's Vancouver Winter Olympics gig was cancelled just seconds in due to rampaging fans last week, and now it seems Alexisonfire can't get away from shitty situations.

The band are touring Australia as part of the Soundwave Festival, but encountered an obstacle of sorts prior to a show at Melbourne's Billboard. A retweet on the band's Twitter on Tuesday (Feb. 23) stated the venue was "pumping sewage from the dancefloor, they had 3ft of shitty water last night apparently." (That's about one metre of shitty water in metric terms.)

"Getting ready to head to the venue. Hopefully the sewage has been cleaned up!" the band tweeted half an hour later.

A soundcheck was finished, so it appears whatever the problem was has been solved. Hopefully it didn't smell...

In related news, the band have also confirmed the Alexisonfire iPhone application is nearly ready.

A Shock Records tweet says it will "have songs, videos, tour dates, pix etc...," but there's no word on when the application will be available.

Alexisonfire are touring in support of last year's Old Crows/Young Cardinals, and have also confirmed a handful of summer festival dates in Germany and Norway.
