Courtney Love, Lily Allen In Fight At Shockwaves NME Awards

Courtney Love has rather improbably proved three times this week that she possesses some semblance of sense. She mentioned on Twitter earlier this week that she wanted to punch John Mayer in the face and said she found Ke$ha "contrived." She also has it out for Lily Allen, according to NME.com.

The two reportedly got into a physical fight at Wednesday (Feb. 24) night's Shockwaves NME Awards, which prompted Allen to leave the event "in tears," according to the website.

It all started over comments Allen tweeted about Love's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, which offended Love, so she confronted Allen. A witness told NME.com that things quickly "turned really nasty, really aggressive and bitchy" before the two stars were "pulled apart by their entourages."

"Welcome to the music industry," the website reports Love said, before calling her a "little girl."

"Why the fuck did you say that to me?" Allen reportedly replied before she left the event.

Both Hole and Allen performed at the event.

Allen picked up a Shockwaves NME Award for her Twitter treasure hunt last year, which involved her hiding tickets to her shows at mystery locations and tweeting hints to her fans.

Meanwhile, Muse, the Jonas Brothers (don't worry, they won for worst band and worst album) and Kasabian both won two awards — more than anyone else. Muse actually picked up three awards if you consider singer/guitarist Matthew Bellamy was declared the hottest man.

Kanye West was named villain of the year and Lady Gaga won awards for both best and worst dressed.
