Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper Announce Horror Show Of A Tour

Rob Zombie

Arguably, nobody's influenced Rob Zombie more than Alice Cooper.

Cooper, the original horror rocker, has left an obvious mark on Zombie, who's been making horror movie-inspired rock since his days in White Zombie in the '90s. Cooper has appeared in horror films like 1984's Monster Dog, and Zombie's also gone on to a successful career as a horror movie director.

Despite all these similarities and their friendship, the two have never toured together. Until now.

Cooper and Zombie will head out on a brief North American jaunt dubbed The Gruesome Twosome Tour beginning April 26 in Winnipeg and ending May 4 in Casper, Wy. Dates in Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver are also on the itinerary.

Tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster and Live Nation Friday (Feb. 26), but are available in a Ticketmaster presale beginning Tuesday (Feb. 23) at 10 a.m. CST, MST and PST.

"The dream or nightmare comes true! Me and The Coop have been talking about touring together for about 15 years and finally the moment is here," Zombie said, according to Blabbermouth. "This will be without a doubt a rock 'n' roll spooktacular for all the cool ghouls."

"It's sort of like Dracula vs. Frankenstein, we're like this generation's classic monsters," Cooper said, according to the website. "When we're not on stage frightening audiences, we'll be backstage trying to scare each other."

Zombie is out in support of his recently released Hellbilly Deluxe 2 album, while Cooper is touring behind 2008's Along Came A Spider.
