Meligrove Band Documentary, Album Coming

The Meligrove Band
The Meligrove Band have finished their long-awaited follow-up to 2006's Planets Conspire, but they've also apparently got another exciting project in the works: a documentary.

There's little known about the film right now, aside from what the Toronto-based trio wrote about it on their website on Monday (Feb. 15).

"Video stuff is moving forward and now there's even a documentary in the works (?!) and so much more," they said.

Jason Nunes, Darcy Rego and Michael Small haven't set a definite release date for their fourth studio album yet, nor does it have a title. But the band describe it as "heavy and excellent" and say they're talking to labels about releasing it sometime this year.

There's a good chance you'll be able to hear and see The Meligrove Band play some new material at their upcoming Canadian Music Week showcase at Toronto's Garrison on March 13. They're playing with Songs From A Room and Mockingbird Wish Me Luck.

You can also see them on March 24 at Peterborough, Ont.'s Red Dog Tavern in a gig that will surely fulfill a number of masturbatory fantasies as they open up for Thrush Hermit.
