Islands European Tour Cancelled

If you're European and were hoping to see Nick Thorburn on stage in some kind of sparkly, sequin-covered costume performing Islands songs, bad news: the band's European dates have been cancelled.

Islands' European jaunt, which was to begin March 2 and run until later that month, has been put off for now because of "unforeseen circumstances," according to a MySpace blog entry the band wrote on Monday (Feb. 15).

"We are trying to resolve the problem, but until then, please accept our apologies- we are beyond disappointed that this had to happen- and keep your chin up for our eventual return."

It's not known when or if the shows will be rescheduled, but British Islands fans will still get to see the band throughout late March and early April, as apparently Britain is not part of Europe. Those dates have not been postponed.
