Danko Jones Roars Back With New Album In May

What do a lion, a wicker chair and a scantily-clad woman wearing a bra and bondage boots have in common? Why, Danko Jones, of course!
All three of those things appear the cover for Danko Jones' upcoming new album, Below The Belt, due out the week of May 10 to 14. The Toronto band will announce details about the release a bit closer to the date, and no track listing's available for the follow-up to 2008's Never Too Loud yet.
For now, we can tell you Matt DeMatteo, who also worked on 2003's We Sweat Blood and 2006's Sleep Is The Enemy, produced the record, which will be the band's seventh studio release.
Whether CHARTattack scribe Erik Missio will be able to cook to this record as well remains to be seen.
Here, ladies and gents (and any LOLcats reading this), is my pick for album cover of the year (so far, at least):

Danko Jones opened for Guns N' Roses during their Canadian tour earlier this month.
On Monday (Feb. 8), Jones the man tweeted that he'd been dealing with the end of the jaunt and the freezing weather in an entirely appropriate way: "The only remedy is to listen to a lot of metal."
