Hilltop Hoods Can't Wait To See Turtles

Australia's Hilltop Hoods will be coming to Canada once again this February, kicking things off during the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Whistler, B.C.

With a strong Aussie presence in the small village, the first show of the short Canadian stint has been long sold out — mostly due to the amount of homeland supporters.

"There's more of us than there are of you guys out there," MC Suffa joked with CHARTattack on the phone from his home in Adelaide, Australia. "Plus, I can't wait to be able to go out on the hills and get some actual snow. As you can imagine, snow's not really our forte down here, so I think this is like our fourth time to Whistler. It'll be dope to go out and get up on the hills."

Suffa, Pressure and DJ Debris will then make their way down to do shows in Victoria, B.C. and Vancouver before making the long trek east to hit up some major cities across the map.

"We toured in Canada with Classified before, and I guess this will be our third or fourth time there," says Suffa. "Every time we've been there, we've had dope fun. Apart from the Aussies who turn out, we've had a lot of Canucks representing. I mean, the album's got a release over there as well, so we've got to go over and push that, too."

After the group returns home, they'll be gearing up for another DVD release followed by a much-needed vacation.

"We're going to put together a DVD, and spend two or three months on that just getting it real tight.

"Then we finally get holidays because we recorded for a year or so, and then toured for six to nine months. So we're actually going to take a few weeks off. I'm going to go to South America with wifey to see some fuckin' turtles 'n' shit."
