Fall Out Boy Break Up Shows They're A Pack Of Bitches

Fall Out Boy
There comes a point where it's necessary to stop talking because you're starting to look stupid, and Fall Out Boy are there right now.

Let's recap the last confusing few days in Fall Out Boy Land. You'll recall on Tuesday (Feb. 2), the pop-punk band said they "didn't know" whether they even were a band anymore after bassist Pete Wentz said he didn't know whether he would ever play in Fall Out Boy again.

Then on Wednesday (Feb. 3), singer/guitarist Patrick Stump opened a big ol' can of giant blue Australian earthworms by saying he wasn't even in Fall Out Boy at the moment.

That led to guitarist Joe Trohman tweeting what could be a thinly veiled barb at Stump: "I just did interviews with Span Magazine, Rabbling Stone and Blunder about how much quitting I done."

But now Wentz would like you to pretend like nothing confusing was ever said and wants everyone to take their heads back to the days where the most brain-busting thing for Fall Out Boy and their fans was the difference between the words "hiatus" and "break." (Note: there isn't one.)

"It's the same place it ever was," Wentz tweeted Thursday (Feb. 4) morning. "For me, I'm just a really negative person. Yes, there is a chance it'll work out, or not."

"We [sic] in the exact position we were when we decided to take a break," he said to another fan.

Drummer Andy Hurley, who really is responsible for this whole confusing mess in the first place because he used the word "hiatus" and freaked out 13-year-olds everywhere, tweeted about it as well.

"I love FOB. It will always be fun for me," he said, but later adding: "I want to give definitive answers too, but sometimes it's not that simple."

It's time for all of you to go to your respective corners and figure it out.
