Hardcore band Dillinger Escape Plan want you to gain freedom from your television with a limited edition box set of their upcoming fourth album, Option Paralysis.
The package will features typical bonus materials and things that definitely fall outside the realm of box set norms.
According to an ad on the Season Of Mist merchandise website, the box set will be available on March 22 for about $91 Canadian. Only 2,000 copies of the package will be available, and it will include a CD combo disc with the CD on one side and a vinyl copy on the other.
But the TV-B-Gone is perhaps what's most intriguing about the contents. It's a high-power, universal remote control that allows you to turn on or off any television set in your vicinity.
"You control when you see, rather than what you see," the gadget's website says. "Second, the device is so small that it easily fits in your pocket, so that you have it handy whenever you need it wherever you go: airports, bars, restaurants, laundromats, etc."
The box set also includes a picture book, flag, beanie, luggage tag and buttons.
In related news, the band have also announced a North American tour set for March and April, and are also close to finishing their run of limited edition online-only Ire Works T-shirts.
"We'll continue the whole limited edition shirt thing for Option Paralysis later on down the line, and maybe we'll do a few for some select older songs from previous albums too," the band wrote Jan. 29 in a MySpace post.
