Fall Out Boy "Don't Know" If They're Done

Fall Out Boy fans: This hiatus that's not a break-up might actually be a break-up after all. But the band aren't sure.
One thing might potentially almost be for sure, though: Bassist and pretty-boy Pete Wentz might never play with the band again.
Wentz took to his blog on Monday (Feb. 1) to address break-up rumours that have surrounded the pop-punk quartet after they announced they were going on "hiatus." Fans freaked out at that, assuming they meant they were breaking up.
"i dont [sic] know the future of fall out boy," Wentz wrote in an appropriately-titled post called "to make it perfectly clear." "its [sic] embarrassing to say one thing and then to have the future dictate another. as far as i know fall out boy is on break. (no one wants to say the "h" word.)"
Well, drummer Andy Hurley already did that a few months back, but anyway...
"as much as i dont [sic] have a solo project, i also cant [sic] predict that id [sic] ever play in fall out boy again. not due to personal relationships as much as a band we grew apart."
Wait... could Pete Wentz actually be going away? As in not playing music anymore?! Calm down, Fall Out Boy haters; maybe, but maybe not.
"in this statement id [sic] like to include there is the possibility that fob will play again with out me or i will be a part of it when everyone is on the same page," he continued. "it is no ones [sic] fault and there is no animosity about the decision. i felt as fans you deserve to know. there is no singular reason for this.
"the side projects or bands are supported by all members of the band. i am the single biggest fan of fob and if this is our legacy than [sic] so be it. i am proud of it."
Hurley attempted to sort out the confusing thoughts on his messageboard on Tuesday (Feb. 2). Hurley is recording an album with his Burning Empires side-project and first brought up the dreaded "hiatus" word in November.
"i really wish i could tell everyone if we were done or not," he wrote. "but i just dont [sic] know. its [sic] not looking great right now, but when we went into the break it was for sure that we'd come back in 2 or 3 years. i still think we will come back, but i just dont [sic] know. theres [sic] no official decision one way or another.
"pete loves fob. i love fob. patrick [stump, vocalist/guitarist] loves fob. and joe [trohman, guitarist] loves fob. its [sic] just that we're in different places right this very instant. which is why we took the break.
"i honestly think all the pressure of people asking stuff like they are on twitter every five seconds is more damning to the band than anything. the whole point of the break was to just get away, and not think about it, and in 2 years or so, come back and decide where to go from there.
"i believe in us, and i believe we will get in a room, hash out all the bullshit like in some kind of monster (haha) and we will be super stoked to do another record. i know all of us are already, but just not at this exact moment."
Hurley went on to say that seven or eight straight years of touring had made all Fall Out Boy's members tired and they wanted to start "fresh."
In addition to Hurley, Stump is recording his debut solo album, for which he's reportedly playing all the instruments.
