Kanye West Vs. PETA

ALL CAPS KANYE IS BACK! I FEEL LIKE I SHOULD WRITE THIS ENTIRE STORY WITH MY CAPSLOCK ON JUST TO CELEBRATE.

But let's not.

Kanye West took to his blog on Friday (Jan. 29) to denounce People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) for criticizing him and his girlfriend, Amber Rose, last week.

The couple were pictured wearing fur coats during Paris fashion week, and PETA placed them on its list of "Worst-Dressed celebrities," which also included fur-clad celebs like Madonna, actress Maggie Gyllenhaal (Batman Begins) and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

"Kanye rants about not winning Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards, but what he really deserves is a 'lifetime bereavement award' for all of the corpses in his closet," PETA wrote on its website. "Kanye, we love the quirky suits, but you can't claim to be 'the voice of this generation' while flaunting fur, which is old school and cruel."

But West wasn't about to let an animal rights organization tell him what he couldn't wear.

"WHEN IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE, REMEMBER THE FEARLESS, REMEMBER THE DREAMERS, REMEMBER THOSE WHO REPRESENT THE GHETTO... THE FAIRY TALE OF NOTHING TO SOMETHING," he wrote, according to MTV News. (The page containing the blog entry is now empty.)

"I'M BRIEFLY SADDENED BY NEGATIVE COMMENTS, BUT I HAVE TO REMEMBER THOSE PEOPLE ARE SCARED, INCAPABLE OR JUST PLAIN IDIOTS. WE ARE THE FUCKING ROCK STARS BABY. NO COCAIN, JUST LIFE MY NIGGAS! NO COCAINE, JUST LIFE! IT'S FUNNY TO ME WHEN FASHION BLOGGERS PUT DOWN OUR OUTFITS AND THEN SUPER JOCK OUTLANDISH SHIT ON THE RUNWAY BUT THEY DRESS MAD PRUDE AND DON'T LIVE FASHION. WE LIVE IT, MAN. FUCK THAT, WE LIVE IT!!! WE LIVE IT SO HARD PEOPLE LIVE THROUGH US! WE REPRESENT YOUR INNER SPIRIT!! THE CHILD IN US ALL, THE BRUTAL HONESTY, THE NATIVETY, THE BRAVE WARRIOR, THE ADRENALINE THAT ALLOWS A MOTHER TO LIFT A CAR IF HER CHILD WAS TRAPPED UNDER IT!"

We'd just like to point out that PETA aren't fashion bloggers... but whatever. It doesn't end there. West would like you to know just what it feels like to be an "icon."

"REMEMBER, THERE WAS A TIME WHEN EVERYBODY DISSED MICHAEL JACKSON EVERY CHANCE THEY COULD. IMAGINE THE PRESSURE OF BEING A TRUE ICON. VERY FEW HUMAN BEINGS ARE STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE CONSTANT HATE!!! IF WE DON'T DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS THE SHIT, YOU BEAT US UP VERBALLY AND MENTALLY, LIKE A CATHOLIC SCHOOL TEACHER BEATING A CREATIVE STUDENT INTO SUBMISSION. I CAN HEAR YOU SCREAMING 'COLOR INSIDE THE LINES!!!' WELL FUCK YOUR COLORING BOOK, COLOR BY NUMBERS APPROACH TO LIFE."

West did not attend Sunday (Jan. 31) night's Grammy Awards, which meant Taylor Swift's album of the year acceptance speech was safe.

Lastly, West was cleared of charges stemming from a Sept. 11, 2008 incident at Los Angeles International Airport in which he had a scuffle with a several paparazzi and a camera was left smashed.

He and Don Crowley, his manager, were originally charged with battery, vandalism and grand theft, but a judge dismissed the charges on Friday (Jan. 29) after West's lawyer proved his client had completed 50 hours of community service at the Red Cross. The judge originally said he would drop the charges if West logged the hours.
