Tegan And Sara's Sara Quin Producing Former Northern State Member's Album

Tegan And Sara's Sara Quin is one of the producers of former Northern State member Hesta Prynn's upcoming debut solo album.

Prynn is also working with producer Chuck Brody (Lykke Li, Ra Ra Riot) on the as-yet-untitled record, which will feature drums from Eric Gardner, who's worked with Gnarls Barkley in the past, and a guest appearance from Les Savy Fav's Tim Harrington, according to Filter magazine.

Prynn (real name Julie Potash) was a member of Long Island, N.Y.-based Northern State from 2001 to 2008 with Correne Spero and Robyn "Sprout" Goodmark. They released three studio albums: 2002's Dying In Stereo, 2004's All City and 2007's Can I Keep This Pen?
