Finger Eleven, K'Naan, Lady Gaga, Tragically Hip Help Haiti

It seems a pantload of new concerts and events in support of Haiti relief get announced every day now. So here's your daily Haiti update about what's going on in the world of popular music to help the people of the earthquake-affected Caribbean nation.
Finger Eleven will headline yet another Haiti benefit concert in Hamilton, Ont. later this month. The Burlington, Ont. alt.rockers will top the bill at the Hamilton For Haiti show that goes down at the Studio Theatre at Hamilton Place on Jan. 30.
The show will also feature appearances from Finger Eleven guitarists James Black and Rick Jackett's Blackie Jackett Jr. alt.country project, blues guitarist Steve Strongman, Tomi Swick, Dodger and the Kevin MacLean Band.
Tickets are $30 and go on sale later this week through Ticketmaster and the Copps Coliseum box office.
Feist, Arkells, Canadian Idol winner Brian Melo, Blackie And The Rodeo Kings, Melissa McClelland, Luke Doucet, Lee Harvey Osmond and Jacob Moon will play another Haiti relief show, Hamilton's Heart For Haiti, the next day at the same venue.
You'll be able to watch some Canadian celebrities do their bit for Haiti just before George Clooney's Hope For Haiti telethon airs Friday night on MTV, ABC, NBC, HBO and CNN.
The Tragically Hip, K'Naan, Simple Plan, Sarah MacLachlan, Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Nelly Furtado and opera singer Measha Brueggergosman will appear on the Canada For Haiti telethon, which will air Friday on CBC, CTV and Global at 7 p.m.
George Stroumboulopoulos, Ben Mulroney and Entertainment Tonight's Cheryl Hickey will host the show, which will also be broadcast on CBC Radio 2.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper and Haitian-born Governor-General Michaelle Jean will speak to Canadians about the crisis in Haiti during the telethon, according to CBC News.
Canada For Haiti will also feature appearances from the following Canadian celebrities: Former Headstones singer and actor Hugh Dillon (Flashpoint); Wayne Gretzky; Phoenix Suns basketball player Steve Nash; actors William Shatner (Star Trek), Joshua Jackson (Dawson's Creek, Mighty Ducks), Pamela Anderson, Eugene Levy (American Pie), Sandra Oh (Grey's Anatomy), Will Arnett (Arrested Development), Tom Jackson (North Of 60) and Brent Butt (Corner Gas); and film directors James Cameron (Titanic, Avatar), Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In The Air) and Norman Jewison (Moonstruck, Jesus Christ Superstar).
Canada For Haiti will air prior to the Clooney's Hope For Haiti telethon, which will be broadcast at 8 p.m. Beyonce's just been added to the bill for that telethon, which also features appearances from U2's Bono, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Wyclef Jean and Sting. Jean will co-host the event with Clooney.
MuchMusic will broadcast a special about the Haitian earthquake disaster on Thursday (Jan. 21) on MuchTalks, which airs at 7 p.m. Free The Children founder Craig Kielburger travelled to Haiti this week on a relief mission, which was shot on camera by CTV. MuchMusic VJ Devon Soltendieck will sit down with Kielburger and an audience of 200 students to talk about the earthquake in Haiti and how the country is coping with the crisis.
Viewers will be asked to visit the CanadaForHaiti.com website or call a toll-free number to donate to organizations participating in Haitian earthquake relief. They include the Canadian Red Cross Society, Care Canada, Free The Children, Oxfam Canada and Oxfam Quebec, Plan Canada, Save The Children Canada, UNICEF Canada and World Vision Canada.
Lady Gaga is now selling T-shirts that will raise money for Haitian earthquake relief. The shirts, which are on sale for $25 to $27 U.S. through her website, are red, blue and green (the colours of Haiti's flag) and feature her face with "HAITI" on them. All the proceeds from the shirts will go to Haitian relief efforts.
K-OS, Brendan Canning and Bedouin Soundclash bassist Eon Sinclair will spin DJ sets at Toronto's Revival bar on Monday (Jan. 25) night as part of the Haiti, Je T'aime benefit. It will be hosted by MTV Canada's Nicole Holness and Aliya-Jasmine Sovani, and will feature special appearances from MuchMusic's Sarah Taylor and CP24's Matte Babel. Tickets are available for $10 at the door and all proceeds will go to Plan Canada.
Scottish post-rockers Mogwai are auctioning a piano, and the proceeds will go towards Haitian earthquake relief. Barry Burns used the Kawai MP8 Mark I piano during Mogwai's 2006 and 2007 world tour.
If you win it, the piano will also come with a series of vinyl records that have been autographed by the band, along with a test pressing of the group's upcoming Special Moves live album, five screen-printed posters and the upcoming live film Burning.
You can bid on the piano here, and all proceeds will go to Oxfam and Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontiers' relief efforts.
New Pornographers frontman A.C. Newman will play a show at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Bell House on Wednesday (Jan. 27) in support of Haitian relief. Jimmy Fallon, New York state senator Diane Savino, Cold War Kids, Ted Leo, The Wrens, Sondre Lerche, comedian Eugene Mirman, Old 97s' Rhett Miller and The Seekers' Nicole Atkins will make appearances.
Paste magazine is putting together its own Haiti relief compilation. Songs For Haiti - 2010 Earthquake Relief features tunes by Ludacris, Hanson, Andrew Bird, Bruce Cockburn, Xiu Xiu, Bob Mould, Ben Folds, Matthew Sweet, The Decemberists and more. It also includes Of Montreal's Kevin Barnes doing a cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon."

On Jan. 12, Haiti was rocked by a 7.0-magnitude earthquake that's estimated to have killed between 50,000 to 100,000 people and affected three million others.
