New Pornographers Album To Feature Okkervil, Beirut, St. Vincent Guest Appearances

Please reserve a space on your "Polaris Music Prize 2010 potentials" list for this one: The New Pornographers will release their fifth studio album, Together, on May 4.
The band produced the disc with Phil Palazzolo, who also produced 2007's Challengers. Together was recorded in Vancouver, Brooklyn, N.Y., Woodstock, N.Y. and Catskill, N.Y.
Although no track list has been revealed for the disc yet, Together reportedly features nine new songs from A.C. Newman and three from Dan Bejar.
As always, the full line-up of Newman, Bejar, John Collins, Neko Case, Kathryn Calder, Kurt Dahle, Todd Fancey and Blaine Thurier appears on the disc.
Indie rock fans will likely also be drooling at the knowledge that some of the biggest names in American indie will make guest appearances on Together. Okkervil River's Will Sheff, Beirut's Zach Condon and St. Vincent's Annie Clark show up on the disc.
You can check out some photos of The New Pornographers making the album on the band's recently redesigned website.
In the meantime, you can catch Newman performing on Wednesday (Jan. 270 at Brooklyn, N.Y.'s Bell House with Ted Leo. Proceeds from the show will go towards Save The Children and Partners In Health's relief efforts in Haiti.
