Lavender Diamond's Becky Stark has created a new parody series dubbed Califunya, which mocks a high school play that's itself a parody of a '60s children's television show.
Two episodes of the series have been released so far. They feature Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy and My Brightest Diamond's Shara Worden. It's presented by Wieden+Kennedy Entertainment, which also shills for Nike.
You can check out the first three episodes here. Meloy and his mutton chops can be found doing back-up vocals on "Bluebird."
Of course, this isn't the first time the three musicians have collaborated. Worden and Stark both appear on The Decemberists' The Hazards Of Love and went on tour as back-up vocalists with the band last year.
You can see My Brightest Diamond on Friday (Jan. 22) at New York's Bowery Ballroom and on March 28 at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tenn.
You can see Meloy with The Decemberists here:
Jan. 20 Sydney, Australia @ Hyde Park Barracks Museum (Sydney Festival 2010)
Jan. 22-23 Sydney, Australia @ Sydney Showground (Big Day Out 2010)

Jan. 26 Melbourne, Australia @ Flemington Racecourse (Big Day Out 2010)
Jan. 27 Melbourne, Australia @ The Toff (Meloy solo)
