Weezer Set To Resume Tour

Weezer

Weezer will return to the stage at the end of the month as frontman Rivers Cuomo recovers from injuries he sustained during a tour bus accident in December.

Cuomo's tour bus crashed en route to a Boston show Dec. 6 after playing in Toronto on Dec. 5. The accident left Cuomo with three cracked ribs and a punctured lung.

The bus crash forced the band to put their winter tour on hold and cancel a slew of dates, but Cuomo's condition has improved and a Jan. 14 blog entry on the band's MySpace page reports "he is feeling up to rock and roll once again — not ready to fly through the air, but ready to play and sing at least."

Weezer will play their first show since the incident at Florida State University on Jan. 20.

Weezer will release a deluxe edition of their 1996 Pinkerton album sometime in the spring, along with a collection of unreleased tunes titled Odds And Ends. Raditude, their seventh studio album, was released last fall.

You can also see Weezer on May 2 at East Rutherford, N.J.'s New Meadowlands Stadium as part of the Bamboozle festival.
