After the end of February, you won't be able to see Brandon Flowers prancing around on stage with some kind of dead bird or slaughtered animal on his shoulders for a while.
The Killers are to go on hiatus following their gig in Melbourne, Australia on Feb. 21, guitarist Dave Keuning says.
"I'm not sure if people are aware of it, but these are probably our last shows for a while," Keuning told the Associated Press. "Unless some surprise thing comes up... we're having a break.
"We haven't had a break in quite a while. It's just been touring and making records and on and on and on.
"It's been like six years just kind of connected together.
"There hasn't been much time where we haven't been either touring or taking time to make another record.
"It's like people just expect us to do that non-stop till we die, but we just want a little bit of time off, just to be myself and do what I want to do for a little bit."
That should give singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers plenty of time to spend with his two sons, Ammon, 2, and Gunnar, who was born last July. Keuning also has a four-year-old son, and reportedly told the Associated Press he was looking forward to spending more time with him.
