Edmonton is the fifth Canadian city to be confirmed on the itinerary for this year's Lilith Fair tour although no dates or locations have yet been announced.
The announcement was made on the festival's Twitter this week. Salt Lake City, Detroit and Austin were also added to the trek. The site also states that a "second major Lilith announcement!" is to be expected shortly.
Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto were slated in the first round of cities with Mary J. Blige, Sarah McLachlan, Tegan And Sara, Ke$ha and Sheryl Crow among many others taking part in the tour. Other acts include Serena Ryder, Tara MacLean, Metric, Corinne Bailey Rae and The Weepies.
Lilith Fair began in 1997 and featured Indigo Girls, Jewel, Fiona Apple while the following year's version had Sinead O'Connor, Bonnie Raitt, Lauryn Hill and Missy Elliott. Lilith Fair came to a close in 1999 with that year's final show at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium.
In related news, McLachlan placed some video stills on her official website for the new video "One Dream." The video will premiere on Thursday (Jan. 21).
