Avril Lavigne
Our computer gnomes have finished their work determining the results for our 15th Annual Year End Readers' Poll, and now we'd like to reveal the winners to you (just in case you didn't see that really long headline there).

Avril Lavigne is apparently sexier than any other Canadian female because she garnered a whopping 605,538 votes for the sexiest Canadian woman award. Lavigne also took the best haircut category and more than a good chunk of you were bummed by her breakup with Sum 41's Deryck Whibley last year, since it took the worst thing in music in 2009 award.

LIGHTS had a breakout year and that extended to our poll. "Saviour" was voted best song, while her clip for "Ice" got more votes than any other spot in the best video category. She also came second in the sexiest Canadian woman category.

The Cliks' Lucas Silveira delivered a sound punch to Whibley, who he bested to take the sexiest Canadian man category. Silveira led the category when the poll launched in early December, but Whibley came out of nowhere to take it from him when the Avril fans discovered the poll. But he battled back and bested Whibley by almost 1,000 votes, becoming the first transman to win the award.

Tegan And Sara's Sainthood won the best Canadian album award, while Franz Ferdinand's Blood — their dub reworking of last year's Tonight: Franz Ferdinand — took the best international album category.

Of course, it wouldn't be a CHARTattack year-end poll without Sloan, whose grey hair was deemed the best thing in music in 2009. Oh, and it looks like there really is justice in the world, since the majority of you thought sparkling Twilight vampires were last year's stupidest trend.

Here are the winners of the 15th Annual Year End Readers' Poll:

The Golden Toque Award (Best Canadian Album): Tegan And Sara — Sainthood
The International Golden Toque Award (Best International Album): Franz Ferdinand — Blood
The Blissful Noise Award (Best Song): LIGHTS — "Saviour"
The Throw Your Underwear Award Male (Sexiest Canadian Man): The Cliks' Lucas Silveira
The Throw Your Underwear Award Female (Sexiest Canadian Woman): Avril Lavigne
The Lord Mullet Of Stanley Award (Best Haircut): Avril Lavigne
The Follow The Herd Award (Stupidest Trend): Sparkling vampires
The Thank You Very Much-ly Award (Best Video): LIGHTS — "Ice"
The That Rocked Award (Sweet Happenings In Music This Year): Sloan's Grey Hair
The That Sucked Award (Stinky Happenings In Music This Year): Avril and Deryck's breakup happening for real
