D-Sisive is offering a free MP3 of a new single dubbed "Anvil" that's, yes, inspired by the Toronto-based metal trio of the same name.
The MC whose real name is Derek Christoff describes the track as an "updated 'Brian Wilson.'" It includes samples from last year's Anvil! The Story Of Anvil documentary overtop Dead Man's Bones' "Werewolf Head." D-Sisive says the tune is "one delicious lawsuit waiting to happen."
"Many things inspired me in 2009, but not all moved me the way Anvil! The Story Of Anvil documentary and Dead Man's Bones did," D-Sisive says. "I knew I had to involve the two in my own work, somehow. And here it is."
D-Sisive listed Dead Man's Bones' self-titled debut album as his favourite release of 2009.
You can download "Anvil" for free here.
D-Sisive's most recent album is Jonestown, which came out in November.
