You definitely won't hear the words "And the Oscar goes go... Karen O and Carter Burwell for Where The Wild Things Are!" at this year's Academy Awards.

The score for last year's Where The Wild Things Are is ineligible for an Academy Award, according to The Wrap website.

Brian Eno's score for The Lovely Bones and T. Bone Burnett and Stephen Brunton's score for Crazy Heart are also ineligible, the website reports. All of the musicians reportedly submitted their scores to the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences, but were disqualified.

While no official reason has been given about why the scores are ineligible, one possible reason is that Where The Wild Things Are's music was composed by both the Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer and Burwell.

Collaborative scores are not eligible for Academy Awards, nor are ones with "tracked themes" or "preexisting music," according to The Wrap. That latter rule could have blocked Eno's score from being considered, mainly because it includes some of his older compositions.

While Where The Wild Things Are definitely won't win a best score Oscar, there's a chance Karen O And The Kids' "All Is Love" could win a best song written for a soundtrack Grammy this year. The track was nominated when Miley Cyrus' "The Climb" was removed from the nomination late last year.
