Sebastien Grainger and Josh Reichmann sort of look alike (especially on their MySpace page, where two pictures — in which they're both wearing jean jackets — have been stitched together in one), and they're both former members of two relatively well-known Canadian indie rock bands. Now, they've started a band called Bad Tits.
The duo's MySpace page describes their sound as "slush" and says their influences are the Thirtysomething soundtrack, The Warriors soundtrack and "whatever the kids aren't listening to." Hipsters, that rules out Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors and Girls.
You can hear two of Bad Tits' songs — "Reincarnate Yourself" and "No Skin" — on their MySpace page.
Grainger, the former drummer and vocalist for Death From Above 1979, released Sebastien Grainger & The Mountains, his debut solo album with backing band The Mountains, last year. Reichmann previously performed in Tangiers and under the Jewish Legend stage name and now fronts the Josh Reichmann Oracle Band. Their Crazy Power debut album came out earlier this year.
