God Of War 3 Game To Feature Heavy Metal EP

Opeth, Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater, Trivium and Taking Dawn will appear on God Of War: Blood & Metal, an EP that will be released to promote the upcoming God Of War III video game.

The EP, which is out March 2 through Roadrunner, features five previously unreleased songs that were exclusively recorded for it. It will be part of the God Of War III Ultimate Edition.

"I have played God Of War on PS3 and PSP. To be a part of this game in any fashion is amazing!" Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones says. "Let the rivers flow red with blood there is vengeance to bestow! Bring me more new finishing blows to my enemies!"

Fans who buy God Of War III Ultimate Edition will get a voucher code to download the tracks. A special code to get a director's cut of the God Of War: Unearthing The Legend documentary will also be included. The package will also come with seven challenges for users called the God Of War Challenge Arena environment, an exclusive Kratos skin and a limited-edition book.

The Ultimate Edition of God Of War III will be available March 16 for the PlayStation 3 and will run you $99.99 U.S. (about $106 Canadian).
