Flaming Lips' Version Of Dark Side Of The Moon Out Next Week

The Flaming Lips
The Flaming Lips love Christmas and they're also known for sharing their brand of weird, neo-psychedelic rock with the world. So it's fitting that their version of Pink Floyd's The Dark Side Of The Moon will be digitally released on Tuesday (Dec. 22).

The Lips' version of the classic 1972 disc, which Wayne Coyne and company have dubbed The Flaming Lips And Stardeath And White Dwarfs With Henry Rollins And Peaches Doing The Dark Side Of The Moon, will be exclusively available on iTunes until Dec. 29, when it will hit stores.

Yes, the album does indeed feature guest spots from Stardeath, White Dwarfs, Peaches and Henry Rollins. The latter two musicians lend "vocal assistance" to the album, according to Rollingstone.com.

What do you want to bet Peaches will turn the "ohs" on "The Great Gig In The Sky" into some kind of sex-drenched psych-gospel fest? Will Rollins add some kind of spoken word freak-out to the track?

The Flaming Lips will perform their version of Dark Side on New Year's Eve in their hometown of Oklahoma City.

We wouldn't normally need to provide the track listing to Dark Side, but we're doing so because of the guest stars. Here it is:

"Speak To Me/Breathe" (featuring Henry Rollins)
"On The Run" (featuring Henry Rollins)
"Time/Breathe Reprise"
"The Great Gig In The Sky" (featuring Peaches and Henry Rollins)
"Money" (featuring Henry Rollins)
"Us And Them" (featuring Henry Rollins)
"Any Colour You Like"
"Brain Damage" (featuring Henry Rollins)
"Eclipse" (featuring Henry Rollins)
