Lilith Fair Gets Television Deal

After announcing its first round of artists last week, Lilith Fair has entered a partnership with ABC Entertainment.
It's being touted as a "multi-platform media partnership"... whatever that means. Lilith Fair's comeback tour will be featured prominently on ABC television shows, and they'll be representing on tour with the ABC Music Lounge, which will give viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse on the summer tour.
That's good news because there's only so much hospital-themed programming one can take. Let the nurses be nurses, and let the rock stars do their job.
Besides, there've got to be people besides us is fantasizing about the possibilities of Tegan And Sara cameoing on V as evil lizard aliens. The possibilities here are endless.
Perhaps Raine Maida and Chantal Kreviazuk will agree to a wife swap with a Juggalo couple. Or the Dixie Chicks will reinvent themselves as political pundits on Nightline. Hell, maybe even Erykah Badu will challenge Shaq to a spirited game of hackey sack on Shaq Vs (we're betting Badu, here).
Marty Diamond, a honcho at Paradigm Music Management, is a Lilith Fair partner. And even he's excited about the possibilities.
"ABC's commitment to music and its ongoing Music Lounge efforts are truly something special," said Diamond. "We couldn't have a better partnership as both the Lilith and ABC audiences are so closely aligned demographically."
That's interesting because we never knew soccer moms were that into Monday Night Football.
