Morrissey Is So Very Sickened Now By B-Sides Collection

Morrissey has apologized for his recently released Swords B-sides collection, calling it a "meek disaster."
Morrissey wrote a letter to the True To You fan site in which he blamed the music industry for Swords poor chart performance and cost.
"I am sorry that 'Swords' was such a meek disaster," he wrote. "It was proposed and accepted as a budget-priced CD, yet emerged everywhere as the most expensive CD in the racks. It was poorly distributed and didn't stand a chance, and ranks as the lowest chart position I've ever encountered."
Of course, Mozzer couldn't resist getting a dig in at his former Smiths bandmates.
"I remain steadfastly proud of 'Years of refusal,' which along with 'You are the quarry' and 'Ringleader of the tormentors' are my life's peaks," he wrote. "These three will allow me to die in peace. I am no longer in the thrall of anything that preceded them; the past is not me."
We hope that "die in peace" thing is, you know, a figure of speech.
Morrissey cancelled several gigs earlier this year due to illness and was forced to bin more after collapsing on stage at a show in Swindon, England in October.
He's also been at odds with some of his fans this year (or maybe they shouldn't be called fans...). One concert-goer threw a drink at Moz's head, prompting him to immediately storm off stage in November, and he had an audience member booted from a show in Hamburg, Germany 10 days later after the show-goer insulted him.
