Devendra Banhart Says He's Putting Out An "Extreme Cologne" With The Strokes

This might come as a surprise to you, but Devendra Banhart and Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti want to make you smell nice.
Banhart let it slip in an interview with NME Radio that he and Moretti are planning to release cologne together.
"I have an extreme cologne coming out with Fab Moretti," said Banhart, who suggested the scent will be called Ninja Smell, and that the duo have already recorded a TV spot for it.
"[In it] we have a band called Permanent Adventure and we wear helmets, and we have contact mics on the helmets. And we run at each other, and that's the percussive element," he said.
"And then I say 'What are you on?' and he says 'I'm on a permanent adventure.' And that's the scope of the ad campaign where we're selling our product, which is extreme cologne."
No word on what it's going to smell like, but our guess is armpit and entitlement. Or, you know, patchouli.
That wasn't the only thing Banhart let slip during his recent interview, he also announced that Moretti's Little Joy side project will release a second album next year on Rough Trade.
Banhart is wrapping up his European tour before the holidays. You can still catch him at Milan, Italy's Magazzini Generali on Dec. 18 and at Rome, Italy's Auditorium Parco Della Musica two days later.
