Islands Heading To Europe, Developing "New (Sub)Genre"

Islands will spend March and April playing European shows in support of their third album, Vapours.
Nick Thorburn and company will play shows in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, the United Kingdom and Ireland from March 2 to April 2.
Thorburn recently told the Arts Section blog that he and Man Man frontman Honus Honus plan to record a new album in "a new (sub)genre we are developing, called Doom Wop." What the heck is Doom Wop? Thorburn apparently says it's "low frequency, and extremely slowed down music atop traditional doo wop harmonies. Or something."
With Honus Honus freaking out while wearing war paint, of course.
