Hedley To Represent Prince Edward Island At Olympics

Hedley

Hedley are one of the headliners of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games Victory Ceremony concerts in Vancouver.

"Sooooo excited about this one! Hedley has been announced as one of the headline performers for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Victory Ceremonies!" the band wrote in a Dec. 9 MySpace blog entry. "Pretty amazing huh?"

Hedley will head up the "Prince Edward Island" themed-night on Feb. 18, despite being from British Columbia. Admittedly, there doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason for who was picked to play along with the provincial themes (INXS for Ontario night? They're from Australia...) but hey, a concert is a concert.

Hedley are just one of 13 acts that have been announced (the Quebec night headliner is still to be determined) for the Vancouver Olympics Victory Ceremonies. Barenaked Ladies, Nelly Furtado, Theory Of A Deadman, Stereophonics and Great Big Sea will also play the shows.

It's going to be a busy winter for Hedley, who will also be on tour throughout Canada for most of March and April.
