Kanye West Gives Shad Some Love

Along with premium menswear, brightly coloured sneakers and himself, Kanye West apparently loves Shad as well.

YO, CHARTATTACK, I AM REALLY HAPPY FOR YOU AND IMMA LET YOU KEEP HYPING D-SISIVE, BUT SHAD IS THE BEST CONSCIOUS HIP-HOPPER IN ALL OF CANADA.

Indeed, London, Ont. MC's video for "Compromise," from his Juno-nominated, Polaris Music Prize short listed 2007 The Old Prince album, has found its way onto West's blog.

A tongue-in-cheek critique of the music industry, the video features Shad dressed to the nines, pairing his suit with a polka dot bowtie and a shoe-box cellphone.

While Shad's Fresh Prince-inflected fashion sense might not be up Kanye's Vuitton-lined alley, his tunes certainly are.

Shad will release his third album in 2010, and will be playing select southern Ontario dates in January.
