Hawksley Workman, Luke Doucet, Justin Rutledge To Perform At Charity Show

It's a small yearly Toronto tradition, but it's looking to do big things.
This year's version of the city's Christmas Show, organized by Mouthparts And Wings, will feature some impressive local acts, including Hawksley Workman, husband-and-wife duo Melissa McClelland and Luke Doucet and tender folk group Wilderness Of Manitoba.
Each night will be hosted by local Toronto songstress Mia Sheard.
The shows will take place Dec. 18 and 19 at Toronto's Rivoli. Proceeds will go to the Daily Food Bank, which provides food for the hungry people of Toronto, and the Stephen Lewis Foundation, which raises support for HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns in Africa.
Each show will feature musicians performing some of their favourite holiday tunes and several comedians plying their trade. The full line-ups aren't yet confirmed, as more acts are still being added to each date.
Tickets will cost $18 per night, and will be available at Toronto record stores Rotate This, Soundscapes and Six Shooter Records.
(Just a note: Six Shooter Records is no longer located at 970 Queen St. E., as they've moved their offices to Queen St. W. at Spadina Ave. You can get tickets to the Mouthparts And Wings shows through their website.)
Showgoers are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the food bank — with baby items, lentils and beans being the most in-demand products.
See below for each night's line-up:
Dec. 18 Toronto, ON @ The Rivoli, w/ Hawksley Workman, Melissa McClelland, Luke Doucet, Justin Rutledge, Rick Miller and more
Dec. 19 Toronto, ON @ The Rivoli w/ Teresa Pavlinek & Shoshana Sperling, Samidha Joglekar, Wilderness Of Manitoba, Lily Frost and more.
