Coldplay Auction Guitars, Records For Charity

Simplify your album, and your life will follow — that's the mantra Coldplay are following.
Their next album is expected to be more minimalist than previous releases, and it looks like the band are getting rid of the clutter in their lives, as well.
Following Nine Inch Nails' lead, they've announced they'll hold a giant end of decade clearance sale on eBay, starting this Thursday (Dec. 17) and ending on Dec. 31.
Items will go on sale at 5 p.m. GMT, or about 12 p.m. EDT.
Coldplay will be selling gold and platinum records, some of their distinctive jackets from the Vida La Vida Or Death And All His Friends tour and even one of Chris Martin's signature guitars inscribed with "No Me Llore" (or "don't cry for me," if you will).
Each item will either be autographed by the band or will be accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
All proceeds from the sale will go to Kids Company, a charity aimed at helping vulnerable inner-city youth.
The band haven't yet revealed all of the items up for auction, but say they'll release a full catalogue on their website later this week.
